When one of your customers signs up for a recurring subscription your card processing company takes a payment and stores that customer’s card details. You may in the future want to use a different card processor if it makes it easier for your customers to pay or they offer you a better deal. Depending on the agreement with the card processor it may be difficult to get them to transfer that card data to your new processor. This is called “processor lock-in”.
Billforward is gateway agnostic so you can use any processor with our platform - but our advice is to ensure you are not locked in.
